Carpenters Workshop Gallery

Carpenters Workshop Gallery is the world’s leading gallery for Functionalist art and design, and the pioneering advocate for a life lived through art

They unite collectors, creators and practitioners within an ecosystem of internationally acclaimed artists. Through their integrated production facilities and heritage artisan-led workshop, they promote the creation of exceptional artworks to be lived with and loved

Carpenters Workshop Gallery was founded on a partnership between childhood friends Julien Lombrail and Loïc Le Gaillard. They first opened the gallery in a former carpenter’s workshop in London’s Chelsea in 2006. Since then, they have expanded to operate four galleries worldwide

Immersed in the world of art and culture from a young age, Lombrail and Le Gaillard were brought together by a passion for sculptural form and elevated craftsmanship. They shared a vision to unite practitioners from specialised disciplines to produce experimental and innovative contemporary work that redefined the boundaries between art, design, craft and architecture
