Carved from a slab of Verde Notte marble, the form presents a frontal mask defined by a rounded crown and a single circular aperture. The deep green ground of the stone is crossed by pale mineral veins that spread across the surface in branching networks

The sculpture measures 11 inches in height and is mounted above a chestnut plinth, allowing the marble form to stand apart as an isolated fragment
